The European Small Claims Procedure (Small Claims Procedure, abbreviated ESCP) is a cross-border legal process introduced by the European Union in 2007, with Regulation EC 861/2007 of the European Parliament and of the Council, which ensures greater judicial cooperation between the Member States in civil and commercial disputes whose value does not exceed two thousand euros.

The need to introduce this procedure stems directly from the desire "to maintain and develop an area of freedom, security and justice" and also "to eliminate obstacles to the good functioning of civil proceedings, if necessary the compatibility of the rules on the civil procedure applicable in the Member States".

The ESCP is a viable alternative to the existing procedures within the member states, which removes all intermediate measures of recognition and enforcement abroad of national judgments.
